Family Values @ Work is a national network of 24 state and local coalitions helping spur the growing movement for family-friendly workplace policies such as paid sick days and family leave insurance which will result in better individual and public health, and greater financial security for families, businesses and the nation.

PAID SICK DAYS

The Healthy Families Act: Our work is building momentum at the state and local levels towards a national standard in the form of the Healthy Families Act (HFA) which will guarantee that workers earn up to 7 paid sick days each year. They can use the time to care for a personal or family illness, visit a doctor, or deal with the aftermath of domestic or sexual violence.

PAID FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE

The Family and Medical Insurance Leave Act: Our work is building momentum at the state and local levels towards a national standard for paid leave in the form of the Family and Medical Insurance Leave Act (FAMILY Act). The program will pool small contributions to guarantee that workers can draw wages while out on leave to care for a new child or a serious personal or family illness.
