The New Jersey Time to Care coalition is a diverse group of 68 advocacy, union, research, and other community-based organizations working to improve workplace programs and policies that support initiatives that make sure working families have paid time to care.

The coalition was instrumental in moving family leave insurance into law in New Jersey. Under the new law which became effective July 1, 2009, New Jersey workers are able to receive wage benefits when they take time to care for a family member or to bond with a new child.

The New Jersey Time to Care Coalition is building on the success of its work on family leave insurance to advance an earned sick days standard for New Jersey workers.
