‘This Is My Family’ Campaign Seeks to Further Equip Paid Leave Advocates

One thing has always been crystal clear for FV@W and our Network: In order for any paid leave policy to be effective, it must cover all care issues and all families. Now more than ever, our families represent the diversity of cultures and communities coming together. So we’ve been working with our partners at A Better Balance to launch a resource for everyone who joins us in the fight to ensure all families can use paid leave.

Convened for our Family Justice Network, the This Is My Family campaign shares resources and training to help members advocate for paid leave policies that extend to families of all shapes and sizes. The campaign centers around personal stories that illustrate the beauty of different kinds of families. 
Intergenerational and nonnuclear families have always existed, particularly in BIPOC communities. This Is My Family speaks to those families and celebrates the love that binds them. We deeply believe that everyone should have access to paid leave, no matter who you are, where you live, or where you work.
