The final result offers insights into the implementation and outcomes of a 32-hour workweek. Initially aimed at alleviating staff exhaustion, our pilot’s success led to the permanent adoption of the four-day workweek across the organization. The study reveals that this shift not only improved work-life harmony for employees but also provides more time for caregiving, reduced commute times, and enhanced job satisfaction and efficiency across all industries. With 100 percent of FV@W staff reporting positive experiences, the four-day workweek emerges as a powerful pro-family and pro-social policy, particularly benefiting mothers and caregivers who manage unpaid domestic labor alongside their professional responsibilities.
