Family Values @ Work (FV@W) and the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP) released their latest report on the current state of paid leave in America. The report contains comprehensive paid leave and medical leave data from 14 states and the District of Columbia based on what we learned in a joint convening in June 2024.
More than 100 paid leave stakeholders from across the country joined FV@W and CLASP to discuss learnings from paid leave programs and their work to build or pass paid leave programs in their own states.
“Together, paid leave administrators and paid leave advocates are clear on what works and what’s best practice for paid leave policy.” said FV@W Executive Director Liana Cassar. “State level successes and lessons inform what can be done at the federal level. The FV@W/CLASP report outlines how it’s being done, and what’s most effective. This is what policy-makers need to know so we can have paid leave policies across the country that are equitable and protect workers.”
