FMLA Anniversary Statement

On the anniversary of the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), we celebrate a landmark law that has provided millions of workers with the job-protected leave they need to care for themselves, their loved ones or a chosen family member. While FMLA was a crucial step forward, too many workers who take unpaid leave are still forced to choose between their health, their families, and their paychecks. It’s time to build on FMLA’s progress by ensuring all workers have access to paid leave, so that everyone can get the care they need when they need it.
