Ellen Bravo, Family Values @ Work Executive Director, recently spoke at the annual meeting of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) in Boston, MA.
NASW has been a leading voice in the fight to allow workers to earn paid sick time. Governor Deval Patrick addressed the group just before Ellen gave her keynote.
As she greeted the Governor, Ellen told him, “I can’t wait to introduce you as the Governor of the second state to pass paid sick days.”
“It’s really moving!” he replied.
