This year, to observe Women’s Equal Pay Day, we asked leaders from our network to share why paid leave and affordable childcare are critical components to closing the gender pay gap. Their responses illustrate what we already know: women, though assuming much of the caregiving work in their homes, continue to be underpaid and undervalued. The time is now to close the gender pay gap, and to ensure that all women and families have the supports they need to thrive.
