The Labor Project for Working Families and the UC Berkeley Center for Labor Research and Education recently released a report showing that unions have a positive impact on family-friendly workplace policies like paid family leave, paid sick days, family health insurance, and child-care benefits. The report also shows that unionized workers are more likely to be informed about important laws such as the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and have fewer worries about taking leave.
