OASIS
Women, non-binary individuals, Black and brown people, individuals with disabilities, and people who were not born in the US, who are elected to state legislatures find themselves navigating workplaces that were not built with them in mind. That results in their voices being marginalized and less of their legislative priorities being realized.
OASIS is a program co-created with legislators and advocates who work with them, to address this situation and centers those individuals most likely to be marginalized in their legislative chambers.
OASIS equips values-aligned legislators with the tools and resources essential for driving transformative change.
OASIS supports women and non-binary individuals serving in state legislatures who are equity and justice champions. OASIS programming is shaped to safeguard legislator’s well-being & resilience, develop their power & influence, and to work collectively for transformative change.
Through virtual, digital and in-person programming, coaching and strategic planning, incorporating somatic work, creativity and healing modalities, as well as leadership skill development, OASIS is building a network of legislators who can support each other and transform the landscape of the legislative workplace.
