Alexis’ heart for social justice began around the time her journey as a mother began years ago. As a mother of color and low-wage earner, she experienced first-hand the effects of racial and economic disparities in maternity care and caregiving. Inspired by her difficult but common experience, Alexis knew there had to be a way to improve the quality of life for underserved families.
As associate director of development, Alexis supports the development and implementation of core fundraising activities, including grant writing and management, special events, fundraising communications, and relationship building with donors for both FV@W and LPWF. This support helps to create a bold network model which realizes our vision of gender, racial and economic justice, and ensures the needs of America’s families are raised.
Alexis loves to travel with her husband and children, visiting new places and creating lifelong memories.
