Ashley Panelli

Ashley Panelli is the Political Director for 9to5 Action Fund where she works to build political power to achieve economic justice by engaging directly impacted women. Prior to this she was the Associate State Director at 9to5 Colorado advocating for accessible work/family flexibility policies across the state. She started as an organizer on the Colorado paid leave campaign and went on to lead the Colorado FAMLI Coalition and the Colorado Families First Coalition to win a state-run paid family and medical leave program at the ballot in 2020.

Ashley began organizing with the Democratic Socialists of America where she chaired the Socialist Feminist Committee and developed the anti-oppression framework that guides the organization’s mission. In addition to her board service with Family Values at Work she also sits on the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities’ State Priority Partnership Steering Committee as well as the Women Foundation of Colorado’s Women and Girls of Color Fund Advisory Council.

Ashley received her B.A. in psychology with a concentration in women’s and gender studies from Dickinson College. Ashley is dedicated to advancing economic prosperity for women and their families and believes that the needs of people should be centered over profits, unconditionally.
