Erica Clemmons Dean has been organizing for over 10 years. She got into this line of work through the labor movement, organizing marginalized communities to create better work environments, and lifting their voices for wanting better pay through establishing unions. Erica’s work with 9to5 Georgia helped to amplify the voices of workers and voters in the south. And Erica’s current role as the Program & Network Director at Family Values @ Work, allows her to share her skills and organizing tips across the country, working with multi-state organizations to build power with their members using an integrated voter engagement approach.
Erica’s passion for organizing young people and building power in marginalized communities don’t end with the workday. She is a devoted wife and mother, and with her family she enjoys spending time giving back together to their community through various volunteer opportunities.
