Gayle Goldin

Gayle Goldin is executive director of Family Values @ Work, a nationally recognized leader advancing paid leave and workplace equity. A former Rhode Island state senator, she helped expand access to child care, protect reproductive rights, address the gender and racial wage gap, and made Rhode Island the third state to establish paid family leave.

Goldin later served as deputy director of the U.S. Department of Labor’s Women’s Bureau during the Biden-Harris administration, overseeing policy on paid leave, childcare, gender equity and workplace protections.

Before joining the Biden-Harris administration, Gayle Goldin served as campaign advisor to Family Values @ Work, partnering with grassroots coalitions nationwide to advance paid leave legislation and advocate for a national paid family and medical leave program. Her writing has appeared in The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Newsweek, Salon, Glamour, and Ms. magazine and other publications.

Goldin holds an undergraduate degree from McGill University and a master’s degree from Tufts University.
