Liana Cassar (she/her)

As the Director of OASIS, FV@W’s leadership development program and support network for equity and justice-focused women state legislators started in 2022, Liana creates space for legislators to develop skills and connect with others in statehouses around the country to create the multicultural democracy that we all deserve. Liana has advocated for gender equality and reproductive rights since marching at protests during her college years. Starting with Peace Corps service in Costa Rica as a Community Development worker, through years of public health and administrative roles, including two terms in the Rhode Island House of Representatives, Liana gravitates toward opportunities to integrate her love of public health policy with systems thinking and social change.
