Samuel Jones

Sam Jones is currently the Executive Director of ROC Pennsylvania/Deputy Director of Strategic Partnerships of ROC United. The Restaurant Opportunities Center (ROC) is a nonprofit organization advocating for dignity, justice, and respect for restaurant workers. Sam has held several positions at ROC over the course of his 10 years at ROC.

Sam serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Philadelphia Unemployment Project and is a Board Member of Pennsylvania Minimum Wage Advisory Board. Sam is a graduate of Yale University, where he earned a BA in history. Sam traces his activism and commitment to socio-economic justice to second grade, where he was one of 3 African-American students to desegregate his school district in Seaford, Delaware.
