The North Carolina Families Care Campaign is a statewide coalition of organizations and individuals who are leading the effort to make North Carolina more family-friendly. Working together, community, religious, labor, healthcare, professional, and family groups are advocating for all North Carolina employees to have access to short- and long-term paid leave.

Since 2007, the NC Families Care Campaign has been working to push the Healthy Families and Healthy Workplaces Act, which would provide all North Carolina workers with a minimum number of earned paid sick days. As a result of sustained advocacy, the campaign was successful in spurring the establishment of the first legislative commission, the Joint Select Committee on Work & Family Balance, to examine family-friendly workplace policies. In 2011, the campaign introduced, for the first time in North Carolina, legislation to expand the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Currently, the campaign is in the midst of a public education and engagement effort to grow the movement for good jobs in the Tar Heel state.
