The Campaign for a Healthy Denver is a coalition of more than 120 community organizations, labor groups, faith leaders, public health groups, elected officials and businesses. We created the Campaign for a Healthy Denver to put Initiative 300 on the November 2011 Denver ballot because we believe that a paid sick days policy will ensure a healthy community, a productive workforce and a strong economy. Lead organizations in the campaign include: 9to5 Colorado; Colorado Progressive Coalition; FRESC: Good Jobs, Strong Communities; and Working America. The Campaign turned in over 12,000 signatures to get the paid sick days measure on the ballot – more than three times the needed number of signatures. Although the initiative did not pass, we are continuing our efforts to engage affected workers, business owners and this broad group of supporters in speaking out on the need for paid sick days.

The Colorado Paid Sick Days Coalition is led by 9to5, The National Association of Working Women. It includes most coalition partners in the Campaign for a Healthy Denver, plus additional statewide organizations.
